Photographic Techniques and Styling
Christin will lecture and create a demonstration piece for the students.
Informal lunch will be provided.
Students will create their own arrangements from a lush assortment of seasonal blooms.
Christin will help students style their work and discuss photography tips and techniques. She will also photograph student work and send images after the workshop.
Compotes and all other mechanics will be provided.
Bring your own snips and tools!
And bring a box with padding to take your arrangement home with you!

Christin Geall is a floral designer, writer, gardener, and photographer whose work focuses on the intersections of nature, culture, and horticulture.
Christin has a BA in Environmental Studies & Anthropology and an MFA in Creative Non-Fiction. She teaches floral design in Canada, the US, and the UK. When Christin isn’t teaching, she is traveling, learning, and writing about art, botany, history, society and sustainability.
In 2020, she published her first book, Cultivated: The Elements of Floral Style, a volume full of thoughtful essays and her own beautifully photographed designs.
In 2025, Christin’s second book, A Cultivated Manifesto, will be published by Rizzoli.
